These scheduled instances can hold up to 30 players, offering engaging challenges and rewarding experiences. Here’s everything you need to know about participating in public events in Big Time.
What are public events?
Public events are fixed location challenges within Big Time’s open world. They vary in recommended level ranges, but there are no strict level restrictions, allowing any player to participate.
Objectives:
In the current alpha state, your primary mission is to destroy three elemental drilling rigs: Fire, Frost, and Arcane. With ongoing updates, expect new and exciting objectives to be introduced.
Participation Details:
Schedule: Public Events have varying schedules ranging from 0-24 hours before entry, differing across servers.
Repetition: Players can repeat a public event as long as it’s available within the entry time frame.
Phases:
Enemies Close to Rigs: Eliminate them to weaken rig defenses.
Shielded Enemies: Defeat these to disable the invulnerability shield around the rigs.
Elemental Auras: The rigs emit corresponding elemental auras. Use a warding potion, rely on a strong ally, or escape the radius of the AoE (Area of Effect) to avoid damage.
Rewards:
All loot and experience are shared in public events, promoting cooperative play. Upon successful completion, a reward chest near the entrance grants you treasures.
Tips for Big Time Public Event Success:
Server Hop: If you can’t find an available event, you might need to switch servers.
Teamwork: Assist as many players as possible; it’s not about getting the last hit on an enemy.
Safety Measures: Utilize warding potions or allies’ abilities to counter elemental auras, or simply avoid their radius.
